James Ronnie Williams, 74, of the China Grove Community in Chadbourn, lost his courageous battle with cancer and entered into Heaven on the morning of October 3, 2026, in the Lower Cape Fear Angel House.
Ronnie, as he was lovingly known, was the eighth and last biological child of Dock Williams and Doshie McDuffie Williams. He was also preceded in death by his son, James Cameron; three brothers and five sisters.
Ronnie worked for Wallace & Greene Gas Company and Enroh Gas Company from the time he was 17 years old until he was 70.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Tyson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2:45 p.m. prior to the service on Friday.
Ronnie leaves behind his sister, Bessie S. Hammond of Fair Bluff; brother, Johnny Ray Williams (Jennifer) of Chadbourn; three special step-sons, Buddy, Mark and Thomas “Tommy” Norris and a host of step-grandchild, nieces and nephews; special friend, Karen Walker.
