FAIR BLUFF, N.C. — A Fair Bluff man was arrested Wednesday night following a physical altercation and property damage incident.
Deputies with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office took Scotty Alan Williams, 58, into custody at approximately 11:05 p.m. near Swamp Fox Highway West.
Williams was charged with Misdemeanor Simple Assault and Misdemeanor Injury to Personal Property.
Following his arrest, Williams was processed into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $2,000 unsecured bond and was subsequently released pending trial.
All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
