Assault on a Female / Simple Assault — Chadbourn

• Victim: Shawana Latoria Mitchell (40, Black female)

• Suspect Information: 32-year-old Black male (5’09”, 140 lbs)

• Weapon Involved: Personal weapons (hands, fists, feet, teeth, etc.)

• Summary: Detectives investigated a domestic disturbance involving physical assault charges.

Larceny of Copper Wire — Whiteville

• Incident Number: 26-2487

• Date & Time: Nov. 2, 2026, at 1:29 p.m.

• Location: 2850 Chadbourn Highway, Whiteville, NC

• Reporting Officer: Cpl. Patrick Sawhill

• Victim: Spectrum Cable

• Stolen Property: Copper wire valued at $500

• Summary: Sheriff’s deputies opened a property theft investigation following the larceny of commercial copper wiring belonging to Spectrum Cable.

Warrant Service — Fair Bluff

• Location: 11243 SW Andrew Jackson Highway (Intersection), Fair Bluff, NC

• Reporting Officer: Deputy Xavier Williams

• Victim: State of North Carolina

• Suspect Information: 25-year-old Black male

• Summary: Deputy Williams executed an outstanding warrant service at a highway intersection in Fair Bluff.

Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance — Whiteville

• Incident Number: 26-2492

• Date & Time: Nov. 2, 2026, at 10:53 p.m.

• Location: 800 Sycamore Lane, Whiteville, NC

• Reporting Officer: Deputy Nicholas J. Barone

• Victim: State of North Carolina

• Suspect Information: 36-year-old White female (5’07”, 119 lbs)

• Seized Property: 3 grams of Marijuana; Toyota Camry listed

• Summary: Deputy Barone cited a female subject for simple possession of Schedule VI controlled substances following a traffic or vehicle investigation on Sycamore Lane.
