WHITEVILLE, N.C. — An early morning domestic disturbance in Whiteville led to the arrest of a local man on criminal trespass charges Tuesday.
Curtis Demetrius Gowans, 38, of West Columbus Street, was taken into custody by Columbus County Sheriff’s deputies at 2:56 a.m. on Nov. 3. Gowans has been charged with domestic criminal trespass.
Due to the domestic nature of the charge, Gowans was processed into the Columbus County Detention Center under a mandatory domestic no-bond hold awaiting a judge’s review.
All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
