Mr. John Cleveland Baldwin “Fatty” 72, of Bolton passed on Monday, November 2, 2026 at home. He was born in Bladen County, the son of the late Bartha Baldwin and Mamie Freeman Baldwin.
John attended Mt. Sinai Holiness Church. He is survived by two brothers, Wayne Baldwin and Winfred Baldwin (Louise) both of Bolton; four sisters, Frances Gillis (Phil) of Council, Connie R. Jacobs, Tessie Jacobs and Lois Smith of Bolton.
J0hn was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Jody Baldwin; four sisters, Ammretha Jacobs, Verssie Baldwin, Magdline Jacobs and Helen Jacobs; three brothers-in-law, Alton Jacobs, Martin E. Jacobs and Sanford Jacobs.
His funeral service will be at 3;00 PM Sunday, November 8, 2026 at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church with Rev. Michael Jacobs, Rev. Cordovian McMillan, Rev. Jacob Young and Pastor Jerry Grove. Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be McKenzie Baldwin, Cory Jacobs, Cameron Jacobs, Aaron Jacobs, Matthew Jacobs and Josh Jacobs.
His family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Peacock Funeral Home.
