UPDATE: Coroner Identifies Loris Couple Killed in Horry County Motorcycle Crash

Both victims died at the hospital after suffering traumatic injuries in Saturday night’s collision.

LORIS, SC — The Horry County Coroner’s Office has released the names of the two people who died following a motorcycle -SUV collision near Loris over the weekend.

The coroner identified the victims as Richard Lewis, 67, and Linda Lewis, 74, both of Loris. Officials said the pair died at the hospital from multiple traumatic injuries sustained in the crash. According to the coroner’s office, Richard was operating the motorcycle and his wife Linda was riding as the passenger.

The collision occurred Saturday evening at the intersection of SC 410 and SC 19. Four people inside the SUV were taken to the hospital with injuries. The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
