CONWAY, SC — Two senior commanders with the Horry County Police Department have completed a prestigious executive leadership program designed to prepare high-ranking law enforcement officials for the complex demands of modern public safety.
Captains Brandon Lee and Chris Hunt recently graduated from the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) Five Star Chief Executive Institute following an intensive, two-week training initiative hosted locally by the Myrtle Beach Police Department, the agency announced.
The rigorous 18-module institute is tailored specifically for seasoned law enforcement executives, focusing on critical management issues facing modern agencies. The comprehensive curriculum covers strategic decision-making, leadership integrity, crisis communications, community engagement, legal liability, policy compliance, budgeting, and officer wellness.
Horry County Police Department leadership emphasized that participation in advanced training programs remains a cornerstone of the agency’s strategy to strengthen department operations and community trust.
“At HCPD, professional development doesn’t stop at the badge or rank,” the department said in a statement. “We believe investing in our leadership means investing in our people, strengthening our agency and better serving the Horry County community.”
The department also extended its gratitude to the Myrtle Beach Police Department for hosting the event and to FBI-LEEDA for providing executive-level training to foster the next generation of public safety leadership.
