ASH, NC — A local resident faces severe criminal charges following an altercation with law enforcement on August 14, 2026.
Preston Alan Hill, 47, of Ash, was arrested by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the local detention center.
Hill has been charged with possession of a stolen firearm, misuse of the 911 emergency system, and felony assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm. He remains in custody following his arrest by sheriff’s deputies.
