MYRTLE BEACH, NC — A 19‑year‑old man has been arrested following an overnight incident involving an alleged assault and the discharge of a firearm within city limits.
According to police records, Rashad Elijah Blocker was taken into custody on September 3 at approximately 12:33 a.m. Blocker is charged with Assault and Battery, 1st Degree, a felony under South Carolina law, along with a misdemeanor count of Discharging a Firearm Within City Limits.
The arrest occurred in the 1100 block of North Oak Street, where officers responded and initiated the case at the same time the arrest was logged. No additional details regarding the circumstances of the alleged assault or firearm discharge were immediately released.
