LELAND, NC — The Leland Police Department will welcome families back to Founders Park on Tuesday, October 6, for an evening of community engagement during National Night Out. The event runs from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 113 Town Hall Drive.
The free gathering will feature local businesses, giveaways, yard games, and a live DJ from Z107.5.
Families can also enjoy the park’s new splash pad and playground while exploring police vehicles, fire trucks, and meeting law enforcement agencies and community partners.
Outreach tables will include Leland Fire, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, the Oak Island Police Department, Coastal Horizons, and additional local organizations. Food vendors will be on site throughout the evening, including Sip N’ Szns, Cheez Boss, and Chocolate and S’more.
“We are excited to host National Night Out back at Founders Park,” said Police Chief Jeremy Humphries. “This event is a great opportunity to connect with the community and continue building strong relationships with our residents.”
National Night Out is a nationwide initiative that brings neighbors and law enforcement together to strengthen community safety through trust and engagement. Millions of people participate each year across thousands of communities in all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military bases.
