TABOR CITY, N.C. — A Whiteville woman was taken into custody Monday morning after deputies responded to back-to-back calls at a Tabor City home.
Deputies initially responded to a residence in the 6000 block of Miller Road on Sunday, Sept. 6, at 10:25 p.m., to investigate a reported assault. Authorities returned to the same property on Monday, Sept. 7, at 7:42 a.m., regarding a domestic trespass.
Following the second response, deputies arrested 60-year-old Janie Strickland Fowler of Whiteville and charged her with misdemeanor domestic criminal trespass. Fowler was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center on a $500 secured bond.
All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
