WHITEVILLE — A visit to the local probation office resulted in felony drug charges for a Whiteville resident Tuesday morning.
Deputies arrested 57-year-old Chris Laverne Posey of 3599 Whitehall Rd., Whiteville, around 11:24 a.m. at the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction Probation and Parole office located at 2586 N. James B. White Highway.
Posey was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, driving while license revoked (non-impaired), and a failure to appear on a misdemeanor. He was placed under a $35,500 total secured bond.
All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
