LONGS, SC — The Barefoot Hootenanny Camping & Music Festival will bring three days of live music, camping, and river‑side activities to River Island Adventures October 23–25, offering an intimate outdoor experience along the Waccamaw River in Horry County.
Hosted by River Island Adventures and local band The Goofy Footers, the annual event is designed as a small‑scale festival with attendance capped under 500. Organizers say the limited size helps maintain a relaxed, community‑focused atmosphere while keeping the weekend centered on music, recreation, and open‑air gathering spaces.
Two stages will operate throughout the weekend, featuring regional performers in folk, Americana, acoustic, and jam‑band styles. Between sets, visitors can take part in guided kayaking, campfire meet‑ups, workshops, and vendor browsing. Food trucks and drink vendors will be on site each day.
Camping is available directly on the property, with shaded tent sites, car‑camping spaces, and unplugged RV areas offered on a first‑come basis.
Festival hours run 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
Adult three‑day passes are $100 bucks, while youth ages 15 and under may attend free with a guardian. Single‑day adult passes are $50 dollars.
