Jay Huggins Steps Down; Chamber Transition Work Continues Through October 9

Fair Bluff, NC — The Greater Fair Bluff Chamber of Commerce is navigating its second leadership change in as many days, following the announcement that Jay Huggins will step down from her role effective October 9.
Huggins confirmed the decision in a statement, noting that both she and Doug have resigned from the Chamber. She said they will continue working with Ashlie through October 8 to finalize banking transfers, close out administrative obligations, and complete other agreed‑upon transition tasks.
The Chamber, which supports local business development and coordinates community partnerships in Fair Bluff, has been managing several ongoing responsibilities as it works through recent leadership changes. The departures come during a period of routine operational planning, making the transition work especially important for continuity.
Huggins expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve and offered well‑wishes for the Chamber’s future growth.
