Oak Island Man Charged With Six Counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

OAK ISLAND, NC — The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation assisted the Oak Island Police Department with the execution of a search warrant tied to a CyberTip forwarded by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

According to arrest warrants, Mitchell Tyler Moore, 44, was taken into custody following the search on September 30th.

Moore, born June 1982, is charged with six counts of second‑degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

He was booked into the Brunswick County Jail and received no bond.
