HORRY COUNTY, SC –– Horry County residents will have access to free mammogram services throughout October through Conway Medical Center’s mobile mammography program and partner clinic events. The screenings support Breast Cancer Awareness Month and provide no‑cost access for eligible women who do not have insurance coverage.
Careteam Plus will host a Women’s Health Day on Tuesday, October 6, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at 100 Professional Park Drive in Conway. The event includes free mammograms and pap tests, with appointments encouraged and walk‑ins accepted as space allows. Screening eligibility follows standard guidelines for uninsured or underinsured women.
Conway Medical Center’s mobile mammography unit will make multiple stops across Horry County during October, offering convenient access for residents in Myrtle Beach, Conway, and surrounding communities. The mobile schedule includes visits to Myrtle Beach City Employees on October 5, Careteam Plus on October 6, Health Care Partners on October 7, Style Encore Myrtle Beach on October 8, and additional locations through October 20. Appointments may be scheduled through Conway Medical Center, and some sites allow limited walk‑in availability.
The MUSC Hollings Cancer Center Mobile Health Unit will also operate statewide during October, providing breast and cervical cancer screenings with advanced mammography technology. While not all stops fall within Horry County, eligible residents may schedule appointments if they are able to travel.
With both mobile and clinic‑based options available, Horry County continues to offer broad access to early‑detection services during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
