Myrtle Beach, SC — Myrtle Beach is adding a major new installation to its Arts & Innovation District this Friday, offering residents and visitors a fresh landmark in the heart of downtown.

The city will host an official unveiling ceremony for “Rabbit Man,” an 8.5-foot-tall sculpture created by artist Dale Rogers, at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6. The permanent installation stands at the corner of Fourth Avenue North and Broadway Street, directly adjacent to locally owned Gallery 320.

Championed by the Myrtle Beach Cultural Resources Committee, the installation reflects an ongoing municipal effort to integrate public art into everyday urban spaces. Beyond aesthetic value, public art initiatives aim to build a distinct local identity, foster community engagement, and enhance foot traffic for nearby small businesses.

The ceremony serves as the kickoff for the monthly F1RST Friday Artwalk, which runs from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. throughout the Arts & Innovation District. Attendees are encouraged to stay downtown following the unveiling to tour local galleries, meet featured artists, and support local downtown venues.

Free public parking for the event is available nearby at the corner of Third Avenue North and Broadway Street.
