WHITEVILLE, NC — A South Carolina woman faces multiple criminal charges in Columbus County following a late-night traffic stop on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Deputy Xavier Williams initiated a traffic stop at 8:12 p.m. along the intersection of 1199 S. JK Powell Blvd. in Whiteville. The driver, identified as Janelle Nicole Green, 32, of 2009 Keowee Ct., Little River, S.C., was taken into custody.
Green was formally charged with Driving While Impaired, Resisting a Public Officer, Assaulting a Government Official/Employee, Injuring or Tampering with a Vehicle, Open Container of Alcohol, and making an Improper Turn.
Green was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond.
