MYRTLE BEACH, SC — A coordinated fugitive operation involving federal, state and local agencies led to two arrests and the seizure of a significant quantity of fentanyl and firearm‑conversion parts on Thursday in Myrtle Beach.
On September 17, 2026, the U.S. Marshals Service Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force, working alongside the Horry County Police Department’s Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT), Conway Police Department, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and additional assisting agencies, conducted an operation in the 1700 block of Greens Boulevard to locate a wanted subject.
Investigators located and arrested Yahshua Hytower, 22, on outstanding warrants connected to a Conway Police Department investigation. During the arrest, officers found suspected narcotics, prompting HCPD’s Narcotics Division to obtain and execute a search warrant at the residence.
The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 375 grams of fentanyl, ammunition, body armor, $1,869 in U.S. currency, and multiple 3‑D‑printed firearm‑conversion parts. According to investigators, the parts are commonly used to illegally convert semi‑automatic firearms into fully automatic weapons.
A second resident, Allencia Smith, 18, was also arrested during the search.

The original warrants were issued by Conway Police Department. An HCPD officer assigned to the U.S. Marshals Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force adopted the warrants as part of the fugitive investigation and led the effort to locate Hytower.
HCPD officials thanked the U.S. Marshals Service, Conway Police Department, SLED and all participating officers and agents for their work in locating a wanted subject and removing illegal drugs and firearm‑conversion components from the community.
