MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Residents in Myrtle Beach will soon have a direct voice in shaping the future of two key historic and public spaces in the downtown area. The Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance is inviting community members to attend an upcoming public meeting dedicated to gathering ideas and feedback on upcoming revitalization efforts.

The gathering will focus specifically on plans surrounding the construction of the new Charlie’s Place stage and overall facility improvements for Bathsheba Bowens Memorial Park. City officials and organization leaders are seeking input from local residents, neighborhood advocates, and business owners to help guide design concepts, park amenities, and future public programming for both locations.

The community meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Mary C. Canty Recreation Center, located at 971 Canal Street in Myrtle Beach. All members of the public are encouraged to drop in, participate in the discussion, and share their vision for these important cultural and recreational landmarks.
