HORRY COUNTY, SC —  Local agricultural producers in Horry County who have suffered crop, livestock, or physical property damage from qualifying drought conditions may be eligible for low-interest emergency loan assistance through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA).

The FSA offers multiple Disaster Assistance Programs to support South Carolina farm operations recovering from natural disaster impacts. Under primary and contiguous natural disaster area declarations, qualifying family farmers can apply for direct emergency loans to help cover production losses, replace essential farm equipment or livestock, reorganize agricultural operations, or manage essential family living expenses.

Producers facing qualifying losses have until June 21, 2027, to submit their emergency loan applications. Local agricultural operators are advised to review eligibility rules and submit documentation as early as possible to allow FSA officials adequate time for application review.

Agricultural operators in Horry County can apply directly through the USDA or review program guidelines online at Find a Program | Farm Service Agency. For local assistance and application support, producers can contact the South Carolina FSA State Office by phone at 803-806-3820 or schedule an appointment with their regional USDA Service Center.
