CERRO GORDO, NC — A Columbus County resident is celebrating a major lottery win after hitting a $150,000 scratch-off jackpot from a local convenience store.
Kaci Souders of Cerro Gordo purchased the lucky $5.00 Lotería Grande scratch-off ticket at the Tiger Mart, located on Andrew Jackson Highway in Cerro Gordo.
Ms. Souders officially claimed her prize at NC Lottery headquarters, taking home $108,016 after required state and federal tax withholdings.
The Lotería Grande game debuted earlier this fall featuring five top prizes of $150,000. Following Souders’ win, three top prizes remain in circulation statewide.
