Horry County, SC — The Horry County Police Department announced Thursday that Danny L. Osborne, 47, has been officially identified as a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife, Cyrena Fawn Anderson, who has been missing since mid‑May. Detectives say newly uncovered evidence directly conflicts with Osborne’s earlier statements about the last time he saw her.
According to investigators, Osborne previously told police that Anderson packed her belongings and left their Forestbrook home early on May 13. Police now say evidence gathered over the past several weeks does not support that account, though they have not released specifics about what was discovered.
Anderson was last heard from on May 12 and failed to report to work on May 14, something family members describe as completely out of character. She was reported missing on May 19 by her sister after repeated attempts to reach her went unanswered.
Police also confirmed that Osborne traveled through Brunswick and Columbus counties in North Carolina in the days surrounding Anderson’s disappearance. Investigators believe he was in the Supply and Bolton areas along Highway 211 on May 15, and they are working with multiple agencies across both states to trace his movements.
Osborne has been in custody at the New Hanover County Jail since May 25 following his arrest by Wilmington Police. He faces six counts of violating a domestic violence protection order and two misdemeanor failure‑to‑appear charges. Authorities emphasize that these charges are not directly related to Anderson’s disappearance.
