Brunswick Electric crews are assessing the issue; no restoration estimate yet.
CALABASH, NC — Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation is responding to a significant outage in the Calabash area Wednesday, with approximately 24,000 members currently without power.
According to the cooperative, crews are on site assessing the situation to determine the cause and begin restoration work. BEMC has not yet released an estimated time for service to return but says teams are working as quickly and safely as possible.
The outage appears to be concentrated around the greater Calabash service area, though additional pockets may be affected as crews continue their evaluation.
