SUNSET BEACH, NC — The Town of Sunset Beach says a power outage is affecting portions of the community Wednesday afternoon, and electric crews are working to restore service.
According to the town, the utility provider has been notified and is responding, but officials have not yet received confirmed information about the cause of the outage or an estimated restoration time. The town said it will release additional details once they are available.
Residents are urged to use caution at intersections where traffic signals may be out. Any intersection with a non‑functioning signal should be treated as a four‑way stop unless law enforcement is directing traffic.
