System Pressure Advisory Issued for Eastwood Park Road in Sunset Beach

SUNSET BEACH, NC — Brunswick County Public Utilities has issued a System Pressure Advisory for a portion of Eastwood Park Road and the Sea Trail community after a water main break caused periods of low pressure and temporary outages on Wednesday.

The advisory affects addresses 627, 631, 633, 635, and 637 Eastwood Park Road, where approximately five residential connections are experiencing reduced or no water pressure. According to the county, low pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back‑siphonage and the introduction of bacteria into the water supply.

Until further notice, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the N.C. Division of Water Resources are advising affected customers to boil all water for human consumption or use bottled water. Consumption includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and preparing food. Water should be brought to a vigorous boil for one minute before use.

Customers will be notified through door hangers, Utilities News Flash, and ReadyBrunswick. The advisory will remain in effect until the county issues written notice that it has been lifted.

This advisory was issued on August 19, 2026 by  Brunswick County Public Utilities.
