WHITEVILLE, NC — The Whiteville Police Department has released the identity of the person found deceased inside a vehicle on August 28 in the 300 block of West College Street. The deceased has been identified as Matassa Glenette Moore, 49, of Whiteville. This article is an update to our previous coverage.
Police also reported that foul play is not suspected. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Raleigh completed the autopsy, and the Criminal/Narcotics Investigations Division and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation assisted in the investigation.
The department and the Whiteville community extends thier condolences to Moore’s family and friends.
