Mary Frances “The Cake Lady” Long 53, of Crusoe Island, N.C. passed on September 9, 2026. She was born on August 20, 1973 in Greenville, S.C. The daughter of the late Floyd Wright and Dolly Mason.
She is survived by her loving husband, Danny Long; sons, Daniel “DJ” Long and wife Anna of Chesapeake, VA, William “Austin” Long and wife Kendra of Pireway, N.C., Michael Long of Crusoe, N.C.; daughter, Patsy Breier and husband Thomas of Clarendon, N.C.; brother, Allen Radford and wife Angie; sister, Tammy Ledford and husband Ray; adopted brother Chris Fowler and his wife Lindsey; grandchildren, Reid Breier, Luke Breier, Emily Breier, Josiah Long, Sophia Long, Isaac Long, Ezra Long, Lennon Long.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Samantha Wacaster.
She was a devoted wife of 36 years, a mother to four, a gigi to eight, and was so much more to countless others. She touched the lives of everyone that she met. She loved to cook, bake, sew, and serve all those in her life.
There will be an open casket viewing at 2:00pm and a funeral service at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Magnolia Baptist Church with Ervin Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow at Alton Long Cemetery.
