CHADBOURN, NC — A Cerro Gordo woman is in custody following a domestic violence order violation reported Tuesday morning.
Tara Suzanne Jett, 47, of Cherry Grove Road, was arrested by Columbus County Sheriff’s deputies at 11:10 a.m. on Sept. 15. Deputies responded to Godwin Trail in Chadbourn after a 61-year-old male victim reported that Jett had violated an active Domestic Violence Protective Order.
Jett was processed into the Columbus County Detention Center and ordered held without bond under state domestic violence laws.
All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
