SLEEPING‑IN‑VEHICLE ORDINANCE ARREST REPORTED ON NORTH KINGS HIGHWAY

MORGAN, LANDON WILLIAM MICHAEL (MBPD)

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Myrtle Beach police reported an early‑morning ordinance violation Wednesday after officers encountered a man sleeping inside a vehicle parked along the right‑of‑way on North Kings Highway.

According to the incident entry, officers made contact with Landon William Michael Morgan, 48, at approximately 1:06 a.m. on September 16 in the 1100 block of North Kings Highway. Morgan was arrested on a misdemeanor charge, which prohibits sleeping in a vehicle at night on SC public right‑of‑ways.

A corresponding citation record lists the same violation at the same time and location,  No additional charges were reported, and no case number was provided for the arrest entry.

 

All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
