SHOPLIFTING ARREST – MYRTLE BEACH

MYRTLE BEACH, SC —  A 31‑year‑old man was arrested early Wednesday after police say merchandise valued between $2,000 and $10,000 was taken from a business along North Oak Street.

According to Myrtle Beach Police Department records, Dashaun Kamal Scott, Black male, age 31, was taken into custody on a felony charge of shoplifting greater than $2,000 but less than $10,000. The arrest occurred in the 1100 block of North Oak Street at 2:58 a.m. on Sept. 16, 2026. The case was reported at the same time.

No additional details about the business involved or the circumstances of the alleged theft were immediately available.
