LONGS, SC — The Horry County Police Department confirmed Wednesday that a coordinated drug‑related roundup in the Freemont Road and Radius Road area resulted in 10 arrests, with additional investigative work still underway.
HCPD Chief Kris Leonhardt said the operation involved several tactical elements, including the use of distractionary devices, which accounted for the loud noises residents reported overnight. Helicopter activity was also part of the enforcement action.
Leonhardt noted that the case remains an ongoing investigation, and the names of the 10 individuals arrested have not been released. Charges and further details will be provided when appropriate.
No injuries were reported, and no public safety threat was announced during the briefing.
