County Detailed Forecast — Thursday, October 29, 2026
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC — Local officials and weather forecasters are urging residents in low-lying areas of Brunswick County to exercise caution this morning as a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Coastal Brunswick County, active from 9:00 AM until noon today.
Up to one-half foot of inundation above ground level is expected in vulnerable, low-lying areas near shorelines, tidal waterways, and particularly along the Intracoastal Waterway and adjacent tidal creeks. Minor coastal flooding may impact low-lying roads. Travel times may be affected, and drivers are strongly advised never to drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. At Mercer Pier, minor flood impact is anticipated around high tide, projected to reach 6.2 feet MLLW by 10:00 AM.
Fortunately, the remainder of the week and weekend will bring relatively quiet, seasonal weather across the county.
