Willie Cecil Sasser, 67 of Hallsboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville.
Willie was born on February 25, 1959 to the late Cecil Elwood Sasser and Grace Louise Rawls Sasser. He was preceded in death by siblings, Steven Sasser, Ann Stewart, Janice Duncan, and Ronnie Sasser.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday (October 29, 2026) at the Flynn Cemetery with Pastor Danny Williams officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 pm till 8 pm at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
Willie worked in construction throughout his life and enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing.
Surviving family includes his wife Helen Sasser; children, Kaye Sasser (Kelly), Heather Sasser (Kayla), and William Sasser (Jennifer); siblings, Allen Sasser (Wanda), Debbie McPherson (Javie), Karen Coleman (Lavern), and Bennie Sasser (Toye); 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
