WHITEVILLE, NC — A Whiteville man was taken into custody early Thursday morning after deputies conducted a traffic stop on Peacock Road.
Kevin Dew, 55, was pulled over by Columbus County Sheriff’s Office deputies at 2:01 AM on Oct. 29.
Dew was arrested and charged with driving while impaired (DWI), reckless driving to endanger, speeding, and an open container alcohol violation. He was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $4,500 secured bond and was released later that morning.
All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
