Ms. Hixon was born in Covington County, Alabama on July 14, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Odell O’Neil Davis and Mariam Thrower Davis. She retired from Wal-Mart after 13 years of employment. She was an avid fan of the NFL and loved to fish. She enjoyed doing crafts, reading, crocheting and watching murder mysteries. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Erin Alexander and Michael Oneal Waldrop.
She is survived by her children, Denise Alexander and husband Mark of Salisbury, NC, Chris Boggie and wife Denise of Carusco, NC, Terrie Vorrosso of Supply and James Hixon and wife Taylee of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Steven Alexander, Shan Alexander, Josh Alexander, Chase Boggie, Paige Boggie, Brittany Zarczynaski, Brad Cento, David Garland, Hunter Hixon and Austin Hixon; 14 great grandchildren.
