WHITEVILLE, N.C. — The Whiteville Police Department released its weekly activity summary for the week of August 17, 2026, highlighting community engagement initiatives alongside law enforcement response figures.
During the week, officers responded to 256 calls for service, investigated 9 motor vehicle collisions, took 31 incident reports, and executed 6 arrests.
As part of its weekly newsletter, the department recognized Officer Brown in its Officer Spotlight. In addition to serving on the patrol division, Officer Brown is a trained paramedic, bringing dual medical and law enforcement expertise to her responses in the community. Department officials commended her determination, eagerness to learn, and positive attitude on the job.
The department also announced upcoming community outreach events, including a Wellness Health Fair scheduled for September 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Vineland Depot located at 711 S. Madison Street. Details regarding the city’s annual Halloween event at the City Hall parking lot will be announced at a later date.
