Emergency Crews Responded to Late‑Night Wreck on Silver Spoon Road

Whiteville, NC — On August 26, emergency crews responded late Monday night to a single‑vehicle accident in the 1700 block of Silver Spoon Road.

The North Whiteville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 11:05 p.m. after callers reported a vehicle off the roadway. Firefighters arrived within minutes and secured the scene. Whiteville Rescue, the North Carolina Highway Patrol, and the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office also responded, assisting with traffic control and documenting the incident.

One lane of Silver Spoon Road was briefly blocked while crews worked around the vehicle, but traffic continued moving through the area without significant delays. Responders remained on scene until the vehicle was cleared and the roadway was safe for normal travel.

The incident was cleared without further complications.
