Open Air Market and Music in the Alley bring vendors, food, and live entertainment to S. Madison Street
WHITEVILLE, NC —Downtown Whiteville will host another community‑focused evening on Thursday as the Open Air Market and Music in the Alley return to S. Madison Street. The market opens at 4:00 p.m. on the front lawn of Vineland Station Depot at 701 S. Madison Street at the train tracks. The market offers a mix of local growers, bakers, makers, and small vendors.
At 7:00 p.m., Luke Kiser will perform for Music in the Alley, held in the alley directly across from Mercantile on Madison and beside Collier’s Jewelers. The brick walkway has become a favorite spot for casual outdoor concerts, offering a relaxed, family‑friendly atmosphere in the heart of downtown.
Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs, perhaps a light jacket, and a bit of skeeter spray to stay comfortable throughout the night. Nearby restaurants often stay open later and a food vendor would be onsite, giving attendees options for dinner before settling in for an enjoyable evening of live music.
