CONWAY, SC — A pedestrian was critically injured Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle along Highway 544 near Singleton Ridge Road, according to emergency response information.
Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the area at approximately 9:27 p.m. October 14 following reports of a vehicle-pedestrian collision. Authorities reported the pedestrian sustained critical injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
Responding agencies included the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Coastal Caroliina University Public Safety, Conway Police Department and Horry County Police Department.
Officials have not released the pedestrian’s identity or additional details regarding the circumstances of the collision. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
