Educational session aims to answer questions, ease concerns, and help patients prepare for joint replacement surgery.
WHITEVILLE, NC — Individuals considering hip or knee replacement surgery will have an opportunity to learn more about the process during a free educational event hosted by Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
The Columbus Regional Joint Camp is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Sunshine Conference Room at Columbus Regional Healthcare System, located at 500 Jefferson Street in Whiteville. The conference room is situated directly across from the hospital gift shop.
The event is designed for anyone interested in learning more about hip or knee replacement surgery, including individuals who may already have a procedure scheduled. Attendees will hear from members of the orthopedic care team about what to expect before, during, and after surgery.
According to information provided by the hospital, the session will cover the entire joint replacement process while giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and address concerns they may have about surgery and recovery.
Organizers say the program is intended to help patients feel more confident and informed while reducing anxiety often associated with joint replacement procedures. Attendees will also have the chance to meet the team that will help guide them through the surgical and recovery process.
The Joint Camp is free to attend. For additional information, contact Columbus Regional Healthcare System at 910-642-9355
