Program begins Sept. 15 and offers pathway to next‑level EMS certification

BOLIVIA, NC — Brunswick Community College is opening enrollment for its upcoming Paramedic Course, giving current Advanced EMTs an opportunity to advance their training and move toward full paramedic certification. The program begins Sept. 15, 2026, and is designed for working EMS personnel seeking to expand their skills and responsibilities in the field.

Classes will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., with occasional Saturday sessions scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. College officials say the course provides a structured path for AEMTs to build on their existing experience, strengthen clinical knowledge, and prepare for the next step in emergency medical services.

For course details or registration information, prospective students may contact Lynn Woodard, program director, at 910-755-7387 or woodardl@brunswickcc.edu
