WHITEVILLE — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ma Duong, 70, on September 6, 2026, at 10:27 p.m. Duong was booked under Booking ID 97620 and charged with Misuse of the 911 System, according to the sheriff’s office.
The charge stems from allegations that Duong repeatedly contacted emergency communications without a legitimate emergency. Duong was assigned a $300 bond.
