SHALLOTTE, N.C. — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office K9 Team will hold a public demonstration this month after receiving new bite suits donated by the Shallotte Rotary Club.
Deputies said the Rotary Club’s contribution will support ongoing K9 training and safety, and the agency plans to put the new equipment to use during a special community event on Saturday, September 26.
The demonstration will take place at 400 Forest Drive Extension from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Shallotte Fire Training Facility,
The public is invited to meet the K9s and their handlers, watch live demonstrations, and learn more about the work the team performs across Brunswick County. Free hot dogs and water will be served, and the event is open to all ages.
The Sheriff’s Office expressed appreciation to the Shallotte Rotary Club for its support and for helping bring the community together for the afternoon event.
