Patricia “Patsy” Taylor – Mullins SC

Patricia “Patsy” Taylor, 86, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Patsy was the youngest daughter of the late Munson and Mary Dimmery Harrelson. She was a loving mother, grandmother (MeMe), great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Patsy married her first love, Marvin Nixon Jenkins, in 1960. She and Marvin spent nearly 30 years happily married in Mullins, where they built a life and home on the farm with family. When Marvin got sick, Patsy devoted all her time to his care until his passing. She was blessed by God to find her second love, Harold Edward Taylor, in the years that followed. She and Harold spent a few years together running his restaurant in Columbia before they retired and returned to the farm in Mullins. They traveled and enjoyed each other’s company, and the company of many family and friends in their retirement, until his passing after 27 years together.

Patsy was an active member of the Mullins Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years. She enjoyed serving and worshiping God in the Choir and on “her back pew”. She worked at Anderson Brothers Bank for nearly 30 years, where she was loved by her customers and coworkers. Her signature lipstick, sparkling jewelry, and nail polish were as much a part of her as her warm smile and generous heart – all reflected the elegance and care that she carried with her every day.

In addition to her parents, and Marvin and Harold, Patsy was preceded in death by her sister Mary Grace Neal, her brother Carol M. Harrelson, and sister-in-law Marilyn Brown Harrelson. She is survived by her loving and devoted son Kenneth Jenkins and his wife Tiffany; her brother-in-law William Lee Neal; brother-in-law Arthur Jenkins, his wife JoAn; grandchildren: Marvin Nicholas Jenkins, his wife Kelsey, Harold Edward Taylor III, his wife Kaylee, Harriet Taylor Prawdzik, her husband Dameon; and the apples of her eye, her great grandchildren Elora and Leila. She also treasured the love and devotion shown to her by several nieces, nephews, and neighbors.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 10th at 11:00 am at the Mullins Presbyterian Church, with the Reverend Jason Brewer officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Mullins Presbyterian Church in her memory.
