Multiple Fraud Charges Filed Against Shallotte Man Over Alleged Scams

SHALLOTTE, NC — A Shallotte man is facing a mountain of legal trouble after being arrested on an extensive list of fraud charges.

Jeremy Jones, 44, was taken into custody by Brunswick County sheriff’s deputies on August 11, 2026. Jones stands accused of 16 separate counts of obtaining property by false pretense.

Following his booking, Jones was held at the Brunswick County Detention Center before being released on August 13, 2026, pending trial.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
