BOLIVIA, NC — A Lake Waccamaw man was booked into the Brunswick County Detention Center over the weekend following an arrest initiated in Columbus County. Patrick Anthony Keese, 69, was taken into custody on August 15, 2026, on a felony charge of indecent liberties with a child.
Authorities confirmed that the arrest originated with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, where Keese was first processed on August 14. He was then transferred to Brunswick County under inter‑county detention procedures commonly used between the two jurisdictions. Despite the transfer, the case remains a Columbus County matter.
Keese is being held in custody as judicial proceedings begin. Court dates and additional case details have not yet been released by officials.
