SOUTHPORT, NC — A terrifying incident involving a firearm, drew emergency responses to a Southport neighborhood on August 11, 2026. Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Flagship Avenue at 9:53 p.m. following a report of an assault by pointing a gun and second-degree trespass.
