CHARLOTTE MAN FACES SWEEPING BREAKING AND ENTERING CHARGES IN COLUMBUS COUNTY

WHITEVILLE, NC — A Charlotte man was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center over the weekend facing dozens of felony warrants issued out of Mecklenburg County.

Colby Douglas Brown, 25, of North College Street in Charlotte, was taken into custody on Saturday, Oct. 3, around 6:56 a.m. Jail records show Brown was served with extensive charges, including multiple counts of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony conspiracy, injury to real property, and failure to appear on previous felony and misdemeanor charges.

Bonds associated with his outstanding failure to appear warrants totaled $110,000. Brown was released from custody on Sunday, Oct. 4.

All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
