James Lamar Carlisle “Chubby”, age 72, of Tabor City, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
Born in Horry County, SC., he was the son of the late Norbit Clarence Carlisle and Emma Mae Turbeville.
He is survived by one son, Brett Carlisle (Heather) of Tabor City, NC. One daughter, Angie Hawes (Gregory) of Tabor City, NC. Four brothers, Shelton Carlisle, Truman Carlisle, Ashley Carlisle, Elmer Ray Carlisle, two sisters Vicky Hardee, Britty Butler, four grandchildren, Chance & Dalton Hawes, Skylar Wright, Bryson Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, JT Carlisle, Norbit Carlisle, Alton Carlisle, David Carlisle, Roy Carlisle, one sister, Lilby Cartrette.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 3:00pm until 5:00pm in Inman Ward Funeral Home.
